President, Raise France
Clara Gaymard is the co-founder of RAISE. Founded in 2013 with Gonzague de Blignières, RAISE is based on two identities: RAISE Investment, a capital development business, and the RAISE endowment fund, a philanthropic structure that helps young entrepreneurs grow.
Clara is a member of the executive board for Veolia, Sages and LVMH. Since 2015 she has been the president of the Women’s Forum. She is Vice-President of the Collège de France Foundation and director of the Valentin Haüy Foundation and IMS “Entreprendre pour la Cité”. On top of that, she was also, from 2006 to 2016, president and CEO of GE France in which she had several international missions, notably to develop relationships with governments.
She started her career in 1982, in Paris. She was, in 1986, auditor and special advisor for La Cour des Comptes, and Commercial Advisor for the Poste d’Expansion of Cairo in 1991. After she returned to Paris she was put in charge of the commercial relations for the Ministry of Economy with the E.U& . In 1995, she became director of the Colette Codaccioni office at the Ministry of intergenerational solidarity. Following that, she lead the “Mission PME” until 2003 at the Economy and Finance Ministry and then was appointed deputy ambassador of international investments and lead the French Agency for International Investments (AFII)
Alumni from l’ENA, Clara is also a graduate from the Paris’ IEP and has a degree in Law and in History.
She is now Officier de l’Ordre national du Mérite et Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur. She also writes novels and essays.
